Kay Povey is an experienced Senior Paralegal who handles many of The Grife Law Firm's top litigation cases. For over two decades, Kay has worked exclusively for personal injury and medical malpractice victims. Kay's efforts are essential in ensuring a smooth and productive flow to litigation. Her knowledge and expertise accrued through years of service at top plaintiff firms helps to give our clients an edge.
Born in Jamaica, she grew up Barbados, and moved to Florida when she was sixteen. Kay attended South Plantation High School in Broward County, received her B.S. from Nova Southeastern University and her Paralegal Certificate from Keiser University. In her spare time, Kay enjoys spending time with her beloved dog Rex whom she adopted from the Humane Society of Broward County. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as reading.
Liz Farley is a Certified Paralegal. She has been an essential part of The Grife Law Firm since 2016. Liz assists with catastrophic car accident and premises liability cases along with medical malpractice and nursing home neglect cases from intake through the pre-suit phase. Often times, Liz finds our clients in their most vulnerable state immediately after suffering a traumatic accident. Liz's hard work and dedication help begin the process of restoring our clients to a position of strength. Her tireless work ethic lets our personal injury clients know that they are truly being cared for.
A true Floridian, Liz received her B.A. degree from the University of Central Florida and her Paralegal Certificate from Florida Atlantic University. She attended Pope John Paul II High School here in Boca Raton. When not at work, Liz enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports, and ceramic art.
Mindy Bayne is a litigation paralegal at The Grife Law Firm, where she puts her 25-years plus worth of legal experience to work to benefit our clients. Throughout her career, Mindy has shown the skill and dedication to achieve longevity at each firm she has worked for. Mindy began her legal career in 1992, when she worked as a paralegal for 11 years with an attorney practicing personal injury, family law, criminal law, and civil litigation. To further her career, Mindy joined a law firm specializing in personal injury and wrongful death, where she remained for 12 years. Mindy then brought her vast experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal to The Grife Law Firm in May, 2017. Her knowledge and expertise in working cases from the filing of a lawsuit through all phases of litigation has helped The Grife Law Firm provide a very high level of service to our clients.
Mindy has resided in beautiful South Florida since 1982, when she moved here from Philadelphia. She met her husband Philip in Boca Raton and they married in 1986. Mindy has two adult children, 2 cats and a dog. When not at work, Mindy enjoys all that South Florida has to offer, such as its beautiful beaches, festivals, local restaurants, concerts, all outdoor activities and just relaxing by her pool. Mindy also enjoys the occasional vacation to anywhere life takes her.
Stacey DeBellis joined The Grife Law Firm in 2018 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in the personal injury field. Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. DeBellis was a Bodily Injury claims adjuster for two of the largest insurance companies in the country where she investigated, evaluated and negotiated thousands of claims. It is that experience, combined with a passion for helping the injured, that allows Stacey to excel on a regular basis. Mrs. DeBellis works in the pre-litigation department, helping clients through the difficulties involved in being in a car accident or slip and fall. She thoroughly assists in ensuring that our clients get the very best results on all aspects of their cases.
Mrs. DeBellis is a native New Yorker who moved to Florida in 1990. She is married to Nick, and the two often spend weekends boating throughout South Florida, biking along the coast, traveling, and enjoying living in paradise. Their son recently graduated from University of Minnesota where he played football collegiately.
